Wooden stool attributed to Josef Hoffmann, produced by Thonet–Mundus Borlova.
Made in the 1930s, the piece features a bentwood structure, a distinctive element of Thonet’s production. The round seat is upholstered in patinated leather, preserving the original character and material quality of the period.
Its essential lines and functional form reflect the restrained elegance typical of Central European design in the first half of the twentieth century. Lightweight yet sturdy, the stool retains the original Thonet–Mundus branded mark.
