The Gallery
Volumnia sounds large.
In reality, it is massive.
Volumnia is a project of rebirth of an historical and iconic space of the city of Piacenza, whose beauty has been hidden for years.
Enrica De Micheli, a gallery owner with experience in both antiques and contemporary art, presents an exhibition space dedicated to historic Italian design within a deconsecrated Renaissance church, set against the backdrop of majestic colonnades that rise dozens of metres above the ground.
The project was born in October 2018 with the opening of the gallery and the first chapter of an intense cultural offer of exhibitions and events, as the solo show dedicated to one of the main Italian design masters Gabriella Crespi.
The former carpentry workshop at the monastery now houses the Sant’Agostino restaurant.
