Volumnia opens its doors to Un’ora di luce, the first anthological exhibition dedicated to the work and method of Davide Groppi, a designer who has been pursuing a personal and radical exploration of light since 1988.
Designer and entrepreneur, Groppi has developed over time a distinctive language, capable of uniting design, industry and poetry. His lamps are not merely objects, but tools that engage with architecture, evoke art, and transform spaces into places of connection.
Curated by Marco Sammicheli, the exhibition unfolds through a series of installations tracing over forty years of work. Un’ora di luce is not only a chronological narrative, but an experience conceived to offer visitors a suspended moment, shaped by wonder, silence and vision.
Lamps, luminous structures and scenographic intuitions create a journey in which darkness gains depth and light becomes matter.
