Nomad Venice 2019

Fabio Salini and Volumnia, both of them at Nomad for the very first time, are working closely together for this special edition creating a collaboration based on a close exchange. The artistic creations of the jeweller based in Rome find a wonderful harmony with the works of art exhibited by the well-known art gallery based in Piacenza presenting pieces selected among the most famous artists of the historic and contemporary design. The stylized and sharp consolles in crystal, silver and oryx horns by Fabio Salini evoke a ‘50s style mixing with the flexible tables by Gio Ponti. The exclusive collection of gold, diamond, straw and bamboo jewellery realized in collaboration with the Campana Brothers – exhibited for the very first time afterward the solo show of the Brazilian designers in Montecarlo – creates a perfect union with the warmest brass of the furniture by Gabriella Crespi as well as in her collectibles with organic materials.

The one and only contemporary piece is Sparkling Cabinet by Simone Crestani, a bar cabinet in lacquered wood and blown glass exclusively realized for Volumnia. It is meant as the perfect showcase for the brand new and visionary creations with titanium and precious stones by Fabio Salini. Designers with seemingly contrasting styles find a perfect balance among them. It looks like they are perfectly blended to the jewellery creations realized with different materials: antler, bamboo, straw, titanium and carbon fiber. It may say it is a bold and very successful experimentation with a unique watchword: elegance.
